Capoeira (Saturdays 12:15-1:45pm):  

Instructor Michael (aka Graduado Pedal) has been involved in martial arts since 1979 and began training capoeira in 1994 in San Francisco. He has been fortunate to have trained with nationally and internationally recognized maters of the martial arts including his capoeira instructor Mestranda Marcia Cigarra. Michael often travels to Brazil to participate in capoeira workshops and has competed in the 2003 ABADÁ Capoeira International Games. In addition to performing in various venues throughout the Bay Area of as part of the ABADÁ Capoeira Performance Troupe, he has also taught residencies and workshops in Bay Area schools through the ABADÁ Capoeira San Francisco arts education programs.
